Sky 1 has announced that stand-up comedian Russell Howard will write and star in a new series for the channel, as part of a two year deal with Sky.

The 14 part weekly series won't air until 2017, once Howard has finished his world stand-up tour, although a non-TX pilot will be released in early December this year. Howard commented 'I am delighted to be making this new show for Sky. It’s obviously the best part of a year away but I’m really looking forward to getting stuck in'.
